Jo-Anne Kupiec is the only Toronto decorator with a specialty in designing professional offices and a background in facilities management.
Jo-Anne, who works on everything from workspace to waiting areas, and board rooms to bathrooms in small and medium-sized offices, developed her cutting edge decorating skills and project management expertise while creating interiors for TD Waterhouse offices across Canada.
“I design for my clients public areas that are comfortable and relaxing,” says Jo-Anne, who decorates offices for lawyers, doctors, dentists, bank executives, accountants, and small business owners throughout the Greater Toronto Area. “And I design work space areas that enable their staff to be more organized, productive and inspired.”
Jo-Anne’s clients benefit from her experience designing the private offices and administrative space, ordering the furniture and equipment, and managing the move-in process for TD Trust and TD’s full service brokerage firm offices. She worked as a facilities manager for the firm earlier in her career.
Jo-Anne, whose projects have been featured in publications nationwide, also has considerable residential design experience. She decorated new homes and renovated existing residences in the Kingsway, Forest Hill, Leaside and other communities, and worked on vacation properties in the Bahamas, Muskoka, Haliburton and Land ‘O Lakes. Her work on the home of the owner of Renee’s Gourmet received recognition in the National Post.
Jo-Anne’s company, Design Excellence, offers a “one-stop shop” of design and decorating services, ranging from furniture selection and placement to window treatment design to remodeling and renovation. Jo-Anne is backed by a team of the area’s foremost contractors, kitchen and bath experts, window treatment specialists, flooring professionals, millworkers, electricians and plumbers.
Jo-Anne, an active member of the Canadian Decorators’ Association (CDECA), travels to design industry events and markets throughout North America to keep current on the latest products and trends.
